Screamo grindcore sickos from
Australia strikes again!!! his time our lesson is genital parts of woman
body. Mike Hunt is doing that Viscera works over years and everytime going
better. it is punk influenced mid-tempo grindcore with porn-gore lyrics. 4
tracks of D.I.Y. release. get it if you want some shit. 5/7 |

Braindead -
These 4 Viscera tracks are all about raw, dirty, bizarre grind, with a
rampant Autopsy-like feel to it and also sort of a wild punk energy... The
bass is prominent with an almost jazzy vibe, kinda like Cause and Effect,
but much more basic and repetitive, perhaps close to some stuff by Man is
the Bastard as well, but I'll just stop with the references already... The
most recognizable Viscera characteristics are the vocals which are just
hysterical screams... That and their bloody and raw grind style. So here's
a very original and weird band, not to mention sleazy... Just check em
out! |

Brutalism -
From down under comes
this 4 track DIY release from a cunt obsessed maniac called Mike. His music
is over the top screaming porngrind. Up tempo songs with accelerations and
addictive rhythms. The guitars are playing an own riddle and the drums are
hammering in the fast parts. It is nice what Mike does although his vokills
are not everybodys favorite and you have to get used to it. Obviously more
from him will be heard in the UG. |

(English Translation) -
I don't know why
but the first riffs of the CD curiously
make me recall MACABRE, or the SCURVY-esque
vocals. However the first listening of this
demonstration which seems to be a solo project of Australian
origin, nothing very impressionant Noise in a pure state to which I cannot
establish comparison. It does not seem to have
guitar on this recording, rather a low sound
arranged with the distortion, as well as a
battery (the sound implies that it is not one limps at rate/rhythm). A
production rather not very advanced compared with all that one can hear
now. The music isn't bad, it would be
interesting to see what this
would give with the addition of a little more
potato, especially by looking after the sound of the battery. |

Fishcom Collective -
Wohow - what do we have
here. Some grindproject with quite original covers and amusing lyrics. As it
is under the same label Decomposing Serenity is on, I'm actually not
surprised with the musical contents: minimalistic and funny grind. The
vocals, what the hell? Sounds like some boy being castrated while singing.
The guitars have a pretty dry sound but the riffs are - believe it or not -
catchy sometimes. Together with the (at times horrifying timed) drums they
even manage to produce songs which can be labeled grind (at least it comes
close to it...). The four songs take up 10 minutes of your time. I have
heard worse (Anal Cunt has much less "musicality" in their songs), and I can
listen through the disc without obtaining a headache. If you like this kind
of stuff, like Decomposing Serenity, Anal Cunt, ... you probably will like
this too. If you don't, it's still fun to hear it once. |

Grindcommando
(English Translation) -
Viscera in this Ep gives
to 4 subjects in than 9 minutes, 9 minutes to us of little more pure grind
hysteria. Mike Hunt (Viscera) gives everything what it is possible to be
done with a pair of testicles tightened by a hydraulic press, I say this by
the impression that it causes when listening Viscera, and is so that this
one one-man band characterized by a hysterical and acute throat, accompanied
by riffs simple, and programmings of quite interesting battery, is a fact
that Viscera is not a referring one of "drum-blasting" as it is it
Agoraphobic Nosebleed, but for they manage hacerte to understand (if it is
that you do not know Viscera) is an amalgam between C.S.S.O. along with Meat
Shits, I believe that it is a good form to conform what is Viscera, in
addition in some moment remembered me to the great ones of Pungent Stench,
since they have that rockera mixture, with much of metal and in addition
that sexopata side that as much pleases us to all. |

Can't Belive it's Not Grindcore -
Viscera
this is some goregrind type funk rock with some
mild fuzzy distortion i keep thinking of Cripple Bitch by Gut
when i hear this, its slow but there are some fast bits, more like
Gore Rock. The vocals are the same high obnoxious
screaming but unfortunately there are no low
growls on this, I heard the split 7'' with
Purulent Spermcanal and the Viscera songs were alot more off the wall, faster
heavier crazier and more to my preferance, however this
seems to be my personal preferance as other webzines have written
that they thought"Viscera had found thier groove" or something, anyway its
not bad but i think that its more of a regression.there are no annoying
intro's and no in song samples, also the
production is a bit DIY but still very good. The
sound is better on here than the 7'' but the music is less insane,
this is at present a 1 man band though you wouldnt know to listen
its still good quality music and not some retarded crap.
This CDR is labeled, comes with lyrics, and are numbered.
Viscera has split albums with Purulent Spermcanal, Grimness,
and Vomit Spawn, I believe theres also a upcoming split 7''
with Intestinal Infection coming on Prolapse Records |

The Meantime Zine -
Wow!
All this from one man; Jayde of Prolapse Records and Evil Semen Zine.
Viscera is responsible for some of the greatest Grind to burst from Aussie
soil and this promo is no exception, ultra fuzzy and catchy riffs torn to
shreds by blistering blast beats and screeching vocals. This is chock full
of classic style psychadelic stoner riffs with a little Grind influence
combined with intense paced drumming and pounding bass. Vocals are an
original high pitched screech that sounds great and musically, tracks are
odd in timing and in style yet so catchy and infectious, and did I mention
inspiring? Why? 'cause if great Grind such as Viscera can come from one mind,
there are bound to be many of us with tremendous ideas on par with Jayde's
to try and create something as great as this. This promo features 4 tracks
all with provocative and beautiful titles; Track 2 'Recto-Vaginal Fistula'
and track 3 'Foreskin Mask' are just two of them. All 4 tracks are great,
all in similar style and structure and will no doubt stick in your mind
after the first listen....Personally I love it and can't wait to hear more
from this band. Should you see anything with the name Viscera gracing its
presence with the letters drawn with spurting cocks, spread legs, severed
genitals and a bloddies tampon...Get it! |

Am not new to Viscera! Having already heard the material from these sickos
from Down Under on the split 7" with Grimness sometime ago! So when I
received this I was excited as fuck to check it out! Really cool cdr from
Prolapse just like all their other releases! This 4 track D.I.Y running
for about 10 minutes has tracks taken from 2 of their already released
split 7"'s, 1 from a upcoming split 7" and 1 as of yet unreleased track!
Ultra cool song titles like "Foreskin Mask"(am sure if Ed Gein wasn’t
caught he would have ended up with one of these for sure!) and
Recto-Vaginal Fistula"(now how the fuck do you treat that Doc?…hhaa) to
name a few! The sound is great! Punchy, heavy and raw! Its killer old
school grindcore with some really cool groovy riffs! Nasty vocals and a
great feel overall to the songs! Great release not to be missed! Rating –
4.5/5 |

Metalshtorn -
Primitive novelty grind from this one man band, it's funny the first listen but
the novelty starts to wear off after a few listens. The music is very basic and
the vocals are high pitched shrieking in the vein of FILTH and MACABRE. Further
down the line VISCERA may produce something more interesting, and there is
potential there with some almost surf guitar in one track and a few other good
ideas, but unfortunately I did not find much here to hold my interest. It's like
FILTH but not as funny - hopefully VISCERA will develop into a band similarly
hilarious and strong in personality. |

Motherfucker -
New shit from
Jayde's hells-kitchen.Also very different from
what I heard from VISCERA so far. It's the new
VISCERA sound, not anymore into noisey puke-gore.Don't
get me wrong, this shit is really good. Picture GUT/MUCU riffs and early
HC/PUNK-like vocals.Got it?. The sound of recording is tuned down aswell,
like a mid 80's
punk recording and I beleve the band also hit the right note
here. After all these years VISCERA stayed "fresh" and " ideaful" & if you
like GUT and GG ALLIN you will worship this great Australian band. |

No Bullshit -
I really don't know that
Mike is the man behind all of
this
thing, a one man fuckin' porn grind and a fucking
violence and raw noise that will totally make your
ear bleeds, with some
punk influence, this is also the kind of stuff I
used to listen now a days because my band plays
mother fucking noise! But this cd pissed me off
because it has only 4 tracks that runs about 9
minutes and 15 seconds, looking forward for the full
length, but this cd is included in my drinking habit,I love getting wasted with this kind of music! cheers! |

This grindgore band
Viscera “Body Basic” was my first album I’ve heard from them and this is my
first time also to hear Viscera. So why there is no reason why I don’t have
any idea how gory they are, except with some news and flyer I only read.
This album comes with 4 tracks of raw grind with a screams vocal. The lyrics
tackles more into some sickening gory vaginal, cock, etc. topic. They play
with mid tempos in the start and turn to fast in the middle. Also the layout
of the cover is into some vaginal graphics. I hope to hear more Viscera
stuff to compare this album. |

Pus Vomit -
Yes, VISCERA has new material! I am guessing that these 4 filthy tracks
are for the upcoming split 7" with GRIMNESS? Songs are "Intestinal
Cock-Ring", "Recto-Vaginal Fistula", "Foreskin Mask" and "Beaten Beaten
and Beaten Again". Have you already guessed by the names what to expect?
If you expect cheese-dripping, gory groovy grindy nastiness then you're
right! VISCERA is another band that sticks out in my mind from several
years ago. It all began for me with the "Finger Your Ring" demo! From
there on the name VISCERA means to me an onslaught of every filthy element
that can make underground grindcore great. Production is good on this one,
whilst guitars come across tastefully muddy and dirty sounding. The riffs
are cool, kind of silly yet heavy and groove-filled. For the first track,
the guitar riff seems to get "drunken", it's very weird and complicated,
with this hard-to-describe, irregular and "off" beat. I didn't catch any
of Jayde's low burping growls, but a consistent high-pitch scream, it's a
signature element of VISCERA, if you've heard any other releases, you are
familiar with this hilarious and twisted vocal style! No samples, it's all
pretty straight and pure VISCERA grind here. Okay, I know you want it, but
I don't know if this is for sale, or you'll have to wait for the split EP,
or what. At any rate I say buy the split 7" regardless! |

Vampire -
Back in 1993
Viscera found a great
guitar player in a Judas priest cover band, if you have the skills to play
Judas priest covers your 1 step beyond grindviolenz!! But first they
tried to play True metal covers. Well it didn’t work so they pumped up the
evil and began to play Black metal!! What a bummer, it didn’t work.Viscera
was not evil enough due their refusal to wear denim and studs. The
warriors went on, found a nut cracking vocalist and the screaming
grindcore hysteria began. In 7 years they released several split releases
with bands like: vomit spawn, Grimness, Decomposing Serenity and
also some live releases.
Viscera pleases us with this 4
track promo cd with some good grind variety. A blast beat compared with some
down tuned swing parts sounding like “GUT” and a High sick scream vocal witch
you can compare with vocals like “Macabre” and “Flesh Parade” only then
they suffering badly laryngitis. These crazy Australian grinders have a good
taste in mixing groovy grind with a bit of freaky swing and blasting grind
parts. It’s sounds ridiculous when you read it. Believe me, although it isn’t a
high quality studio session. These recordings will make you beg for more… so…
Viscera…bring
us tha good stuff! |

Vomit the Soul -
During the 4 tracks of this
CDR, VISCERA proposes a kind of basic Grind, bizarre and original. Indeed,
this is not so easy to describe this band!! Try to imagine a kind of basic
Grind with Grind Rock elements
ala
DEAD and a powerful side typical to Punk stuffs.
This is not so fast, but rather catchy with mid tempos drums, a kind of
bizarre bass sound and screaming vokills! This is really original, and the
4 tracks of this CDR are really pleasant to listen to! Good stuff! |
